Cyber Security


This course will allow you to attain an HNC in Cyber Security.

To complete this course, you must have access to the internet, and be able to view the resources on an appropriately sized device, i.e. laptop/desktop. Its also advisable that you have a device with at least 4GB of RAM.

Possible lines of employment within this field include Data Protection Officer, Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Virus Technician, Penetration Tester


How long does the course last?

As this is an online course, you can work at your own pace. However, there are deadline dates to be met, and you should speak with the programme lead about this.

Each unit comprises of outcomes (between 2 and 5 for each unit), and there will be assessments/tests/exercises for each outcome that must be completed as we go. The graded Unit is the final exam for the Mandatory units.

You will receive video lectures which are related to the content of the outcome. You will then be expected to go away and research for self-study purposes. It is very important that you take the time to do your own research, and maximise the time on this qualification.
