The Kickstart Scheme

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment. Employers can spread the start date of the job placements up until the end of December 2021.

A Career in security

If you are 18-24 and are on Universal credit there is an opportunity for a career in security. You have the opportunity to gain a role in security as a placement in a professional and safe working environment The placement is based on 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months. Depending on your age you will receive 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage

Working in partnership with the DWP all candidates are fully screened and assessed for suitability purposes. Considering the age restrictions of working in the security industry all candidates seeking employment in this sector through the kickstart scheme are required to be:- 18-24 years old • Currently on Universal Credit • At risk of being long term unemployed.
