Partnership with DWP
Our role as a social enterprise educator is to work in partnership with the government departments to support initiatives across employability. With career aspirations to work within security sectors we aim to support individuals, through education, to reduce the barriers to work.
Our ongoing collaborative work with East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, North Lanarkshire and Dundee job centre locations are testimony to the working relationship we have with DWP work coaches and support staff.
Even with the challenges presented in 2020 we were able to maintain 100% employability within our business sector. Also working across our DWP regions we were able to support 87.5 % of our targeted positive outcomes into work.
Even during challenging times our training department has continued to provide an innovative online classroom experience, thus preparing motivated individuals with the opportunity to gain employment within the security industry.
With our kickstart application pending we are looking to bring another 30 applicants through our learning experience into work.
While we continue to support more individuals into work, it’s worthwhile reflecting our Social Return on Investment (SROI), which now exceeds 10 million. Coupling this with our employability outcomes is testament to the multi levels of value the business provides across social and economic boundaries.
Our employability goal is to extend our reach to further DWP regions across the UK to support more individuals into work.
